"To be savored like a starry candy that is left to melt gently under the tongue."
Clavius Reticulus - Prog Censor

"Dome I And Dome II" by Rob Gould is a great 2CD, which contains delicious music,
with which he has managed to captivate from start to finish and I highly recommend this masterful double to every lover of progressive music.

Carry's New Underground Music

An at times dark, ambient journey into the centre of human consciousness,
but also humane and inviting, with a delicate lightness of touch.

Stuart Douglas - We Are Cult

'Dome I and II' remains an ample, complex and masterful work, rather difficult to tame.
It is all the same a great success, but requiring a significant listening time to deliver all its secrets.
An album that deserves this superb reissue!
4 out of 5 stars.
Prog Critique

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the part studio / part live album - Rob Gould's Dome (2007), Dome II(2022) is to be released by Fruits de Mer Records
- along with a remastered Dome - as a special double cd on the FdM 'Strange Fish' label.
The CDs will be available as a limited run - both from the Fruits de Mer Records website, and here from early June 2022.
'Dome II' was initially created as a possible 'Sector NINE' inclusion for the bands 5th album.. However, the track (nicknamed at the time of inception as 'Son Of Dome')
began to evolve into a much more lengthy, more 'Dome like' introspective solo piece.
The completion of the work just happened to coincide with an email from Keith Jones, head of FdM saying how much he was enjoying 'Dome'.
Keith hit upon the idea of releasing the 2 albums together - and although recorded 15 years apart , there is a flow and connection between the two recordings.
Infact, although thought lost, the original 'Dome Constuction tapes' from 2007 were also discovered around the same time in early 2022..
Some of these early takes and ideas have made there way into the melting pot of Dome II.
Dome II offers a more futuristic soundscape compared to its predicessor -
and still has the essence of the 'tour of the creative brain' . However, this time, perhaps a more 'brain as computer' concept.
