MAY 5th 2004
Rob is featured in the recent edition of Rock Society magazine (Issue 142). The article reads as follows:

ROB GOULD WAS A CAVE MAN SHOCK! (never a truer word...Ed).by Dave Kennedy.
It was revealed on Paul Baker's Phoenix Soundscapes Rock Show that Fula keyboardist Rob Gould used to work in a cave; this is where much of his solo work 'evolved'. Rob wrote the film soundtrack to the cave-exploration film Wookey , to be screened later this year.

Rob and Fula bass player, Nigel Moss were guests on Paul's show discussing their music and selecting tracks from other bands. Rob chose "Modern" by "Peter Hammill" and Nigel selected "Us and Them" by "(Pink) Floyd". A new Fula album is being written plus a CD of unplugged Fula songs.

Theremin Magic
Rob Gould described his Theremin as a wooden box with a circuit board inside of it linked to an external aerial and antenna. To play it, you wave your hands in the space between the antenna and aerial, creating amazing sci-fi tones; the further up you go the higher the note. (if only it were that easy....Ed) He said that it's a "hands-off" machine so in a way it's like being a vocalist, you can produce sound without touching anything. The Osmonds used one on Crazy Horses!

Other news...Rob appeared on High Peak Radio last Sunday night (I was in the Kentucky and almost dropped my chips!...Ed).
Don't forget to tune in to Radio Caroline tomorrow night (Thurs. 6th May) between 9p.m and 12 midnight to hear Rob, Nigel and "Wookey" vocalist Fiona Ford in conversation with Rob Leighton. There will also be the chance to hear a "world exclusive" first live performance of "Caves of Thunder".
