Rob Gould News
Greetings!

Three new projects are currently in progress.

Firstly, I've recorded an ambient keyboard intro for the forthcoming Phil Craigie release - working title "Siula Grande" based on the Joe Simpson true-life mountaineering epic "Touching The Void". More information on Phil's project can be gleened from Rodent Studios. Phil is an amazing musician and cg artist and has designed 3 cd covers for me in recent times. The project (imho) is going to be a high-quality affair.

Secondly, I've been adding keys to a great song from the pen of Mr. Eduardo Capella, (pictured right) my great friend and fellow Ashtar musician. The song is called "Beyond The Window". You can view Eduardo's website by clicking on this link eduardocapella.com

Also, in the work in progress file, is a song - working title "Someday somewhere" - which I've been asked to record and produce for CRS associate David Winstanley. This fine song has been written by Dave and will hopefully feature on an ep cd in the near future. More news on this soon.

Work continues on the DOME cd. Again, more info as and when....

Ashtar News
The band are currently holding auditions for a new female vocalist. News of some fine candidates filters through from Brazil. I'll post any announcements as soon as i hear anything. Gigs are starting to be booked for the 2007 European Tour too :-)

tchau for now

Rob

Ashtar News
Fernanda leaves Ashtar. Official band statement below.

"It´s with great sadnesss that we unfortunately bring the news that the singer Fernanda Gollo is in the present no longer part of Ashtar´s lineup.

The gap left by Fernanda is undoubtedly huge and there´s no need to cite her talent, carisma and evenless the personal relationship within the band. It has been a great priviledge to work with this lass along 6 years and we wish Nanda all the best of luck and succsess on her way.,

But Ashtar won´t stop as the the band is now working hard and fulltime to produce the forthcoming album "From the Otherside". During the next the months the band shall be in studio with a tight agenda to begin the recordings of the album that will hopefuly be released on the 1st semester of next year.

And of course we´re searching for a substitute in level for Fernanda, which we all know that won´t be an easy task.

We hope to count with our fans and friends, and be certain that we´l do our best to the maintain the quality of our music."

Rob is also asked to join Ashtar as full time keyboard player in the band.
July 2005

Ashtar News
This Thursday (3rd November) Rob Leighton's Imagination Show on Radio Caroline features music from the Classic Rock Society's Rotherham Rocks concert held earlier this year.

It starts at 2100 (GMT) with Arilyn, followed by the whole of the Ashtar performance and Mostly Autumn.

It is recommended Radio Caroline's new Abacast 48k audio stream should be used to listen, for which you'll need the latest version of Winamp. More details can be found at Radio Caroline

How to get Radio Caroline on your Sky box!
First make sure that your TV is tuned to Sky.
Press Services on the remote control and then select System Set Up and then Add Channels.
The screen will then give you tuning options. Use the keypad and the cursor ( triangular ) buttons to make the screen show:
Frequency - 11.390
Polarity - V
Symbol Rate - 27.5
FEC - 2/3

Now go to Find Channels and press Select. The screen will shortly show you the channel it has found. Use the yellow button to Store Channels, this puts a small tick against your choice, then press Select. When you want to listen to Caroline, just press Services and Other Channels. The Caroline option will appear and you just press Select. (its simpler than it sounds!)

It's also possible to listen to Radio Caroline via the internet. Follow this link Radio Caroline for further information.
